About

The Banovich Wildscapes Foundation (BWF) is proud to work with Kian Kroll in raising funds to support the education for children in the Masai Mara.  BWF  is a nonprofit organization fostering cooperative efforts to conserve the earth's wildlife and wild places benefiting the wildlife and the people that live there. The communities living alonside wildlife are the most important conservation stakeholders and we have always supported projects that provide Masai Mara communities with platforms and opportunities to educate about and discuss emerging issues affecting them, relating to human-wildlife coexistence and conservation.  An important part of this goal is based on the understanding that exposing children to wildlife at an early age in an engaging and compelling way will create positive long-term perceptions towards wildlife and conservation issues in their landscape. As in all nations and communities the general education of our youth is critical and providing funding for basic needs and curriculum as well as a platform for understanding of the value of the wildlife they live with.

"In July, I went on a trip to Africa with my family.  During our stay in the Maasai Mara, we visited a children’s private school that integrated conservation classes into their learning.  For my mitzva project, I will be raising funds in order to assist hard working children to have more opportunities for a higher level education. Even though the price of private school is not particularly expensive, most families cannot afford it.  I am working with the Banovich Wildscapes Foundation on this project.  This foundation integrates conservation, animal education and teaches the value of protecting the land and animals for the good of their future and the future of the planet.  I hope to help as many kids as I can, giving them a opportunity to become the future leaders in their own communities." “I started the Banovich Wildscapes Foundation as a way to give something back to the world that has given so much to me. The name WILDSCAPES refers to large abundant landscapes…wild, balanced and intact ecosystems. There is nothing more important to future generations than wildlife and wild lands. Special places that lift our minds, replenish our spirits and renew our passion for living."

The Banovich Wildscapes Foundation is a nonprofit (501c3) organization fostering cooperative efforts to conserve the earth's wildlife and wild places benefiting the wildlife and the people that live there. BWF supports a total of twelve projects in seven countries. A portion of the sale of Banovich limited edition giclée canvases and Wild Accents benefit the foundation.

Founded in 2007 by John Banovich, BWF is the culmination of tireless conservation efforts over the past two decades. Through his career as an artist, Banovich has inspired a deeper understanding of the world and its wildlife, encouraging successful conservation efforts and awareness of endangered species and their habitats. Traveling across the world seeking inspiration for his work, John has utilized these opportunities to research wildlife and to learn about associated conservation challenges at the local, regional, and national levels. Through his career, artwork and his publishing company, Banovich Art, Banovich has developed effective ways to help implement and support conservation programs and is utilizing his imagery to promote a message of wildlife preservation and to initiate real change - BWF is making a difference.
